Thanks to the U.S. Census and Inc. magazine May 2006 for these stats on the Cities with Highest and Lowest Incomes.

Highest Median Household Income Cities:

  1. Sugar Land, Texas – $84,842
  2. Missouri City, Texas – $71,902
  3. San Jose, California – $71,765
  4. Coral Springs, Florida – $65,062
  5. Anchorage, Alaska – $61,595

Lowest Median Household Income Cities:

  1. Miami, Florida – $24,031
  2. Newark, New Jersey – $26,309
  3. Cleveland, Ohio – $27,688
  4. Detroit, Michigan – $27,871
  5. Buffalo, New York – $28,544

Seems that smaller cities are doing better with Median Household incomes.  Interesting statistics though.
