I’ve heard that unless you have a China strategy, Silicon Valley VC’s will not invest in your company.  With the Gaming Industry booming with no signs of slow down, I wonder if it might be said someday soon that unless you have an Online Gaming Strategy, Certain VC’s will not invest in your company.

BusinessWeek July 10,2006 edition, reports that retailers like “American Apparel” is putting a virtual store in the popular online game Second Life.  They will be offering 15% discounts to all virtual shoppers at its 132 stores worldwide.

With the ability to “buy it when I see it” concept, it may not be too far in the future when online video games will be selling merchandise from within the game.  When players will be able to customize their characters using actual clothing sold in real-life retail outlets, and with the click of a button I can buy or purchase whatever I mouse-over during online game play.

So, do you have an Online Gaming Strategy?
