It has been my dream for a long time to start a nonprofit for Utah Young Entrepreneurs. This “school” would be a training ground for high school and college students on entrepreneurship. Each student will actually start a business during the six week program. The goal of Young Entrepreneurs is to provide the education and experience I wish I had available when I was in High School. As a result, Young Entrepreneurs has been formed with the support of myself, Michael Eagar, along with Ryan Coombs, Swen Swenson, Robb Juhlin, Christopher Eagar, and many other Utah entrepreneurs.

I have been involved in entrepreneurship education for many years including my involvement in contributing to the entrepreneurship program at UVSC, being a Junto participant, associating with many Utah entrepreneurs, and running my own little entrepreneur projects and businesses. One of the biggest goals for each student during the training is to experience the excitement of running a successful business in the Young Entrepreneurs environment where we can teach them and help them to learn from every activity.

I am very excited for this years class of students and look forward to a great summer. Many of our students have applied for scholarships, if you would like to provide a scholarship in your name to a student please contact me, Michael Eagar at michaeleagar<at>gmail<dot>com and I would be happy to work with you about this years class and future classes at Utah Young Entrepreneurs.
