Great article in Fast Company April 2006 edition on Cell Phone Statistics. The survey was based on 3000 users ages 15-35. Here are some take-aways:
81% of cell phone users sleep with their cell phone on.
31% of Americans who said a cell phone relfects as much about a person as a car does.
26% of Americans said they would go back for their cell phone over their wallet if they left both of them at home.
63% of Americans said they wouldn’t lend their cell phone to someone else.
96% of cell-phone users screen their calls.
Here are my cell phone statistics: I usually sleep with my cell phone on (in case of an emergency), I could care less what cell phone others use, I would go back for either my phone or my wallet if I left it, not one over the other, I would lend my cell phone to someone else for less than a day, and I screen my calls.
